  1. Grease pans w/nonfat cooking spray instead of butter.
  2. Use nonfat whipped toppings, instead of icing on cakes.
  3. Sprinkle nuts on top, instead of mixing them into the batters, of home baked desserts. Toast them to maximize their flavor impact.
  4. Substitute 6 egg whites plus 1 whole egg for every 3 eggs in your favorite recipes.
  5. Substitute apple sauce for some of the oil in your favorite recipes. Try replacing half the oil w/the same amount of apple sauce.
  6. Look for recipes using cocoa powder in place of chocolate. (The fat found in chocolate is in the cocoa butter, not in the powder)
  7. Prepare a homemade fruit salad instead of an apple pie.
  8. Make your own milk shake. Mix nonfat yogurt, skim milk, ice, bananas & berries in a blender
